Preparing for the parades

In 2009, with our “new” RRV not long on the road, the helpers and volunteers (and their families) managed to take part in no less than four St. Patrick’s Day Parades.    Skibbereen was first….. then a mad dash to Clonakilty, then on to Courtmacsherry… The Bantry parade luckily took place on the Sunday so we paraded there too…   Our idea was to highlight our existance and need for ongoing donations.   The people of West Cork are, by their nature, extremly generous, and can now be proud of their achievements.   Much fundraising and donations have ensured the existence of the Rapid Response Vehicle.   Needless to mention, the voluntary work of the doctors is the most important part of the whole plan.
